SAN DIEGO – JUNE 1, 2019– The San Diego Strike Force (1-11) fell to the Sioux Falls Storm (10-2) by a final score of 60-7 Saturday night on the road.

Strike Force quarterback Jihad Vercher went 13-23 for 112 yards. Vercher carried the ball seven times for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Strike Force wide receiver Marques Rodgers had six catches for 67 yards. Running back Dominique Carson also reeled in four catches for 30 yards.

Carson also contributed 19 rushing yards on five carries.

Defensive back Tareq Abulebbeh had an interception in the game.

Sioux Falls quarterback Lorenzo Brown Jr. went 8-12 for 79 yards and five touchdowns.

Brown led the Storm’s rushing attack with 60 yards on five carries and a touchdown. Running back Nolan Saraceni carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards and had two rushing touchdowns. Running back Calen Campbell had 38 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Kent Shelby had four catches for 36 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Brandon Sheperd had three catches for 21 yards and two touchdowns. Campbell and backup quarterback Tra’Von Chapman each had a touchdown reception in the game.

Defensive back Rick Rumph had an interception in the game.

The Strike Force will be back in action for the team’s final home game of the inaugural season on Thursday, June 6 at Pechanga Arena San Diego. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
