GAME PREVIEW - WEEK 15 @ SIOUX FALLS

The San Diego Strike Force (1-10) will head to Sioux Falls this weekend to take on the Storm (9-2) on Saturday, June 1 at 5:05 p.m. PT at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The game will be streamed live on the IFL’s YouTube page.

GAME PREVIEW 

SAN DIEGO – MAY 30, 2019– The San Diego Strike Force will face the Sioux Falls Storm for the first time this season on Saturday in a road matchup.

The Strike Force are coming off a Week 14 bye, having most recently lost to the Arizona Rattlers at home by a final score of 84-63 on May 19.

Strike Force quarterback Jihad Vercher went 19-35 for 164 yards and six touchdowns in the team’s most recent game. Vercher also had eight carries for 31 yards.

Strike Force rushing touchdowns were scored by wide receiver Marques Rodgers and running back Dominique Carson. Offensive lineman Zian Jones recovered a fumble for a 48-yard touchdown. Running back George Moreira Jr. had 36 yards on one rush.

Carson led the Strike Force in receptions (5), receiving yards (53) and receiving touchdowns (2). Wide receivers Rodgers and Julian Stafford each had four catches in the game. Stafford, Moreira Jr., running back Rashad Ridley and wide receiver David Carter also each had a receiving touchdown in the game.

The Sioux Falls Storm are also coming off a Week 14 bye, after defeating the Nebraska Danger 57-56 on May 18 on a last second play.

In the team’s win, Sioux Falls quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 14 passes for 204 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He also had 31 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Storm wide receiver Brandon Sheperd had 92 receiving yards that led to two touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. Wide receiver Kent Shelby contributed 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The game between the Strike Force and Storm will be played on Saturday, June 1 at 5:05 p.m. PT at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center and will be streamed live on the IFL’s YouTube page.
