The San Diego Strike Force (1-11) will face the Nebraska Danger (5-7) in the final home game of the team’s inaugural season on Thursday, June 6 at 7:05 p.m. at Pechanga Arena San Diego. The game will be streamed live on the IFL’s YouTube page.


SAN DIEGO – JUNE 4, 2019– The San Diego Strike Force and Nebraska Danger will have their first all-time meeting this week in San Diego.

The Strike Force enter Week 16 following a 60-7 road loss to the Sioux Falls Storm on June 1.

In the road matchup, Strike Force quarterback Jihad Vercher went 13-23 for 112 yards. Vercher carried the ball seven times for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Strike Force wide receiver Marques Rodgers had six catches for 67 yards. He ranks fifth in the IFL in receiving yards per game (58.8). Running back Dominique Carson reeled in four catches for 30 yards.

Carson also contributed 19 rushing yards on five carries.

Defensive back Tareq Abulebbeh had an interception in the game.

Nebraska had a Week 15 bye, after previously losing 43-37 to the Quad City Steamwheelers in Week 14.

In the loss, Danger quarterback Tommy Armstrong went 11-22 for 115 yards in the air and two touchdowns.

Armstrong also rushed for two touchdowns in the game. Running back Davonte Sapp-Lynch carried the ball nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown. Armstrong ranks first in the IFL in rushing yards per game (55.7) and Sapp-Lynch ranks fifth (40.9). Armstrong also ranks first in the league in rushing touchdowns (23), while Sapp-Lynch ranks third (18).

Nebraska wide receiver Gregory Dent Jr. had four receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns.

The game between the Strike Force and Danger will be played on Thursday, June 6 at 7:05 p.m. PT at Pechanga Arena San Diego and will be streamed live on the IFL’s YouTube page.
